Two of the companies affiliated with Kowsar Saba Industrial Holding produce kinds of edible oil, cotton fiber meal, etc.
1- Khavardasht Agro-Industry Company
The company is equipped with a roofed warehouse (with an area of about 1,500 square meters, for storing about 50,000 tons of seeds and flour), as well as dryers and mechanized oil storage silos (with a total area of 42,000 square meters and with a capacity of 3,000 tons and 100,000 tons respectively per day).
It is also equipped with a cotton cleaning unit (with an area of 1,100 square meters), a lintering unit (with an area of 3,000 square meters, and a capacity of 20,000 tons per year), oil extraction units for all kinds of oil seeds using two methods of extraction and cold press or unrefined (with a total area of 46,000 square meters and with an annual production capacity of 33,000 tons, and a unit for the production of all kinds of animal and poultry meal (with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons).
The company is located on a plot of land measuring 37 hectares in Aliabad Katul County of Golestan province (at a transit position along the main road from Gorgan to Mashhad).
Khavardasht Agro-Industry Company produces kinds of raw edible oils (such as soybean, canola, sunflower, safflower, and cottonseed oils), kinds of animal meal (such as soybean meal, rapeseed meal, sunflower meal, safflower meal, and cotton meal), and kinds of edible oils (such as sesame oil, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, and camelina oil) produced using cold press method.
High-quality cotton fibers, cotton wool, and linters of type 1 and 2 (for use in the military and chemical industries) are also among the products of this subsidiary of Kowsar Saba Holding which are supplied to the market with the brand names “Khavardasht” and “Jahan Banoo”, holding a 5 percent share of the domestic market for each product.
2- Khorasan Cotton and Oil Seed Factories Company
With a capacity of extracting oil from 500 tons of oilseeds per day, the company is located in Neyshabur County in Khorasan Razavi province on a land measuring 89,145 square meters.
Kinds of edible oil (soybean, rapeseed, sesame, corn, and grape seed oils) and meal (for livestock, poultry, and aquatic animals), protein soybean meal (for human consumption), lecithinized soybean oil, (edible lecithin useable in the food industry), soy protein, cotton fibers, cottonseed oil, cottonseed meal, and sunflower seeds are among the products of this subsidiary of Kowsar Saba Holding, which are supplied to the market under the brand name “Leefood”.
